ABOUT TRACEY MTSHALI
Tracey Mtshali, the daughter of Joyce Mtshali and younger sister of Mthobisi Zondi as well as a soul gone too soon. The late Tracey Mtshali who was only two years younger than her older brother Mthobisi Zondi died tragically in 22 September 1991 at a very tender age of 12 years old.
Growing up in the rural area of Ntshongweni, she attended Lalelani Lower Primary School for her formative years and later moved on to Charles Higher Primary School. With the two siblings sharing such a strong bond although two years apart they were both taught by the same teachers who strongly believed that Mthobisi Zondi was a very smart kid but all argued that Tracey Mtshali was by far the only child they had ever come across smarter than him. Mthobisi laughs reciting this story as it serves as such a positive and inspiring memory of his late sister for him.
The passing of Tracey Mtshali was a tragedy for her mother, brother and everyone that was close to her. Having been intellectually gifted, both her brother and mother decided to start a foundation in her name that will carry her memory and through the foundation make a continuous difference to and uplift deserving communities.
